Technology Consulting

Technology consulting is focused on helping clients roll out technologies that will enable them to achieve their business objectives. Technology consultants bridge the gap between the business functions and the IT department to make sure the client has the right technology in place to successfully complete business activities. Some major types of projects include system implementation (for all types of software) and designing user experience.

Technology consulting differs from other types of consulting because it tends to be more “in the weeds” and works with many departments of the business. Technology consulting typically comes later in the lifecycle of consulting projects, for example a strategic project recommends a certain type of software, technology consulting will implement that software. Technology consulting employees project managers, coders, and people who can “translate” the business requirements to the technical coders.
